PROJECT BACKGROUND
The Problem
THE DESIGN
Open offices were supposed to bring people together. For a lot of people they just made it harder to think. Noise, foot traffic and harsh overhead light hit everyone, and they hit neurodiverse people hardest. Building private offices back in takes space and money most companies don’t have. MeSpace is a one-person room on casters that drops into the floor plan you already have.

MeSpace is a one-person room built by Hollman in Irving, Texas. It started with a simple goal: give neurodiverse people a place where they can actually focus. Inside, you set the light, the air and how private you want to be. Outside, it’s soft panels and wood grain, so it feels like furniture, not a phone booth.
I joined Hollman in June 2025, after MeSpace launched. Since then I’ve led design on workplace pods, lockers and custom commercial projects. I take ideas from sketches and CAD through prototypes, vendor reviews and a build-ready handoff. On the current MeSpace I focused on [CONFIRM: what you led]. Credit to the original Hollman team for the first generation.
Soft Outside, Smart Inside
The rule was simple: it should feel like furniture, not equipment. Outside you see acoustic panels, wood grain and real greenery. Inside, one dial sets the light, from warm to video-call bright, and another sets the airflow. There’s an outlet with USB-C, and the sliding door tucks in so it doesn’t eat floor space.

Ghost Mode
The window uses switchable liquid crystal privacy glass. One touch takes it from clear to frosted, so users can choose between staying connected to the room or disappearing for deep work.
Configurations
The same platform scales into different versions: the Workstation Series in Light, Medium, Warm, and Dark cores, an ADA version with a wider clearance for wheelchair users, and an Industrial Series with a pocket door and rugged finishes for job sites.
Packaging the Tech
Inside a soft acoustic shell sit tunable lighting, a 3-fan ventilation system, power with USB-C, and switchable privacy glass. [CONFIRM: what you changed and why]
